Grand Knight August 2021

Dear Brother Knights and Families:

July was loaded with projects. There were many opportunities for participation in council activities and our dedicated members and families did not disappoint!

As I mentioned in the last newsletter, our firework tent sales were record breaking for our council and we received a check for over $12,000!! Thanks to all that helped make this fundraiser such a HUGE success!!

On Saturday, July 31st, a crew led by Dan Weslowski repaired our council hall ceiling above the fish fry area. This job was followed by several hours of yard work and landscaping around the building. Thanks to Dan and all those who helped with these necessary repairs and work!!
Later that same day, Marv and myself led the Knights of Columbus, ‘Altar Boy’ appreciation night. We began the fun with pizza and desserts in Kaczmarek Hall, then off to Haymarket Park with 19 young fellas and adult chaperones to cheer the Salt Dogs on to a 11-5 win over the Winnipeg Goldeyes. 4 Salt Dog home runs made for an extra exciting evening for all of us!!

I ask all of you to pray for our priests, teachers and students as they begin the new school year in just a few short weeks.

Please make an effort to attend a Knights of Columbus monthly meeting and be sure to share our membership opportunity with any parish men that might benefit from joining our council. We would love to see our numbers grow.

God Bless and Vivat

Jesus!
