Dear Knights,
Once you’ve received this letter Fr. McGivney will have been beatified! A historic and celebratory moment for the Knights as we celebrate the Church’s newest blessed. This is also a historic moment for the American Catholic Church and truly for the Church universal as the Knights and their good works span the globe!
The Knights of Columbus continue to be at the forefront of prayer initiatives locally and nationally. This past month’s prayers for life and for our upcoming elections have been powerful ways of encouraging and leading the faithful in these uncertain times.
Some upcoming parish opportunities for prayer/service for November:
At the top of our parish Facebook page is last week’s video of the Patriotic Rosary. Some parishioners have been watching/praying it every day in praying for our upcoming elections.
On Monday — All Souls Day — Come to pray and light a candle for our beloved dead in church.
On Tuesday — Election Day — go vote! And come to church to pray in Eucharistic Adoration. Over 1000 parishes across the United States are having Eucharistic Adoration for our country and elections on this historic day.
We have Eucharistic Exposition on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
We’re still in need of Ushers to help with distance-seating and to wipe down the surfaces of the church after weekend Masses. Any man in the parish can fill this position, even if you’ve never been an usher before. Please contact Will Varicak – 402-416-1070 – if you can help. Thanks.
May we continue to keep each other and our country in prayer,
Father Hottovy
