Happy Fall Brother Knights! What a beautiful time of year as the temperatures start to drop and the leaves change colors and drop from their perch in the trees. I would like to start by congratulating Father Kipper as our Knight of the Month. We are blessed to have you as our parish priest and look forward to you helping guide our council both spiritually and with your leadership.
As the winter months approach, we have many important things happening in our council. I am hoping you and your families find the time to take part in some of these activities and tasks we have planned. Our council’s Corporate Communion is October 23rd during the 10:00 AM mass. This is a special mass to honor the Knights of our council. You and your family are invited to attend. There will be reserved seating for our members and families if you wish to sit together.
We are going to start our snow removal program again this winter for the homebound members of our parish. So far we have 11 individuals that would like our service. In the very near future I will send out an email with the addresses of these people and will need Knights to volunteer to make this a success. Look for that in your email soon.
Deputy Grand Knight Matt Schafers has organized an appreciation luncheon for St. Teresa’s teachers and staff. This will take place on October 11th and be catered by Amigos. This is just a small token of appreciation to our teachers and staff of St. Teresa’s that do amazing things everyday.
Our council will also be hosting a Halloween party at the Knight’s Hall on October 30th. Look for details in the bulletin. This will be a family event with pumpkin painting, games and snacks. Be sure to put this date on your calendar!
Lastly, we had a great turnout at our last general meeting! Thanks to the brother knights that attended. With 240+ knights in our council we would like to see many more in attendance. This month’s meeting date is October 19th.
May God continue to bless us all.
Ron Schinkel
